Yesterday we posted a new page on the website describing how the 6C’s, are values and behaviours and many consider these fundamental constructs in nursing http://bit.ly/T2V6CJ. The 6C’s do not have an evidence base or audit tool as yet, and therefore are not true quality markers of a nursing service. However using the 6Cs template provided on the website, it is possible for nurse specialists to showcase their work and highlight the complexity of their nursing care and service in relation to the 6Cs.
Within the nursing profession there is debate about the 6Cs and this new blog, by grumbling appendix, articulates an alternative view on the 6Cs and suggests that the credible synthesis of evidence, professionalism, political awareness and public engagement is the way to develop a modern nursing image.
